Our board

Stefanie Christmann

Founder and chairwoman of the Esel-Initiative. The journalist holds a Ph.D. in German Philology, has written several books and is working at the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA). Her hobbies are travelling and reading.

Michael Shohat

The vice chair and web master of the Esel-Initiative majored in psychology and holds a Ph.D. in political science. Works as product manager at an internet provider and spends his spare time with basketball, music and the internet.

Claudia Schlüter

Cashier of the Esel-Initiative. The mother of three works as a lawyer and tax counsellor. If possible, she spends her free time reading and riding horses.

Beatrice Wolter

Board member of the Esel-Initiative. Mother of three, holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics and works as a journalist. Spends her free time doing sports, singing in a choir and enjoying nature.
